You deserve the literal best birthday ever.

Well, actually, the best everything ever.

Because you’re honestly probably the most genuinely caring, kind, compassionate person I’ve ever had the fortune to get to know. You have the world’s biggest heart and you share it with everyone, you adopt people and you adopted me. You helped to create and keep together a whole family, and I can’t tell you how grateful I am that you did, and that you let me be a part of it.

You’ve been there through crises at three in the morning, and writer troubles, and everything in-between. You celebrate with me in triumph and you’re always there when things are rough, even when your real life is super busy, just to let me know that you’re there.

I know I am a better person than I was this time last year, and I know that you had everything to do with that. You make everyone you touch feel special and wanted, and that’s a rare and remarkable gift.

If I can be half the person you are one day, I’ll have achieved something great.
