TV Thoughts
Because I have the attention span of a concussed puppy, I got to thinking about TV moments that have stayed with me, despite time going by. These are some moments from TV history that have scared the pants off me or stuck in my head for one reason or another:
OMFG Through The Dragon’s Eye. Are you actually kidding me?! We watched that when I was in infants school, I must have been about 7 years old? We were allowed in the teacher’s lounge to watch it and everything.
They had the balls to kill regulars on that show, it freaked me out and made me love it all at the same time. And Charn was a freaking scary bastard. Just saying. If it’d been teenagers/young adults and not little kids, I would have been shipping him with the girl who was left behind and got captured.
I may or may not have found all of the episodes on YouTube and marathoned them last year. <.<->.>It’s on youtube?!?! Okay, that’s my next day off sorted out then :D Thing is that I was sure I was imagining it, but I could remember some of the theme tune and typed the lyrics in google and there it was and EEH! It was some of the first telly I actually saw in English and I loved it :)
I was certain it was a trippy childhood dream as well, but the opening sequence, the baddie, and the thing with the scarf from one of the later bits stuck in my memory. And yes, last year at least it was all on YouTube. At 7 I was all about the OOH MAGIC of it. At 17 I found the magical land called ‘Widge’ hysterical. Also: one of their guides has a magic pink stick that grows helpfully when it’s rubbed right. I’m not even kidding. He saves a kid from a swamp with it.
