Bae’s teacher was a beautiful girl, Gold had always thought, slim and petite with curly dark hair and eyes like seaglass. Bae adored her; no one else had ever been able to make him focus on his maths homework like a stern word and an encouraging smile from Miss French could. He hadn’t, however, expected parent/teacher night to end with her perched on her desk and his mouth plundering, teasing and claiming hers, although he certainly wasn’t complaining.
